About The Founder

Mr. Kamau S. Leitner was birthed to a young, charismatic woman by the name of Ingrid
Hanley on October 24, 1986 in Tampa, Florida. As a youth he enjoyed collected athletic
cards, playing sports such as football, basketball and even dabbled in soccer yet baseball
was his first love. He spent a lot of time around the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization
where he was mentored by athletics like Derrick Brooks, Warrick Dunn, Ryan Nece, John
Lynch and Shawn King just to name a few. But more importantly, his years as a youth
was heavily influenced by his father-figure, Joe M., then Special Teams Coach for the
Buccaneers took him in as his very own which created a father-son bond. Furthermore,
he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2005. During high school, he was
active in FBLA, played football, baseball and basketball. After his high school career as
a Jefferson Dragon, Mr. Leitner chose to attend the Oldest HBCU in the state of Florida,
dear old Edward Waters College (EWC) in Jacksonville, Florida.
College Life:
After choosing EWC, Mr. Leitner then stepped on the campus as young skinny kid out of
Carver City (Tampa), willing to learn at the collegiate level and also earn a starting
position on the collegiate football team. After the third game of the season, Mr. Leitner
took over as the starting Quarterback for the EWC Tigers and never looked back. During
his tenure, he earned both academic and athletic honors. Meanwhile, he was also very
heavily involved with the local community of Jacksonville. He served in many
capacities, such as Student Ambassador, SGA President and was also initiated as a
member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Mr. Leitner successfully graduated from EWC in
May of 2009 with a Business Administration (Major) and Accounting (Minor) degree.
These accomplishments made him the second member of his immediate family to
graduate with a college degree. Kamau was blessed to be able to find work within 2
months of graduation; Mr. Leitner accepted a full time internship with the Department of
Defense within the Department of Navy. Mr. Leitner currently is still excelling in his field
as a lead analyst for his organization supporting the mission of the Navy day in and day
out. In addition, Mr. Leitner obtained his Masters of Business Administration from the
University of Troy and has continued to be an active member in several organizations that
promote social service and community engagement.

Lastly, Mr. Leitner’s entrepreneurial work has spoken volumes throughout the city of
Jacksonville; from political town hall meetings, to adopt-a-highway cleanup missions in
the community. Positive progression is his humble view when looking at life. Thee
Primetime Foundation is a culmination of what Mr. Leitner was blessed with throughout
his years which include, mentorship, strong academia, athletics, and most importantly an
opportunity to succeed.​
